Recent successes bode well for the future.

Despite the complexities of our change programme, Buying Solutions remains on track to meet all ministerial and financial targets for the current year.

Throughout this period of change we have remained focused on our customers and have been developing our products and services in response to ever-evolving public sector requirements.

Our Mts team has won HMRC business against very tough competition with a deal which is expected to create spend of £60 million over the term of the contract.

The MoD has recently agreed a deal that will allow them to make considerable process savings over the next four years by placing up to £80 million worth of spend through Buying Solutions forthcoming furniture framework agreement.

And the successful launch of the Merchant Acquiring framework agreement is also a major step forward.

We have capitalised on the public sector's aggregated procurement muscle to negotiate much more favourable service charges levied by the banks for the use of cards to pay for services.

This will lead to significant cash and efficiency savings by using a faster, secure, electronic system of receiving payments.
